Melbourne-based ceramic artist Bettina Willner-Browne’s practice involves an intimate connection between material, form and everyday life. Slabs, extrusions, elemental structures and gestural painting techniques characterise her sculptural ceramic pieces. Willner-Browne’s work considers the connection between material, form, nature, architecture and memory within contemporary ceramics. Organic structures, textural and goldene glazes are characteristic of her sculptural pieces, and in combination, produce objects that sit between sculpture, painting and drawing.
Willner-Browne graduated with a Bachelor of Art from Monash University and has since exhibited in commercial and public galleries across Australia.
Willner-Browne is represented by Saint Cloche Gallery.
