Tan Arlidge is a Sydney based sculpture artist who crafts fluid forms that seem to have been captured mid-flight. SCALLOP Velvet #01 is a medium-sized wall sculpture rendered in a deep, muted tone. Measuring 63 x 45 x 20cm, its gentle folds and contours suggest the softness of fabric caught in motion, or the slow ripple of water. Designed for wall display, it offers a sense of movement held momentarily in suspension.
