Ben Ward is a senior Miriwoong artist who was born in the country that is now Lake Argyle. His birthplace is under water due to man-made manipulations to the natural environment. Modernising his creative practice, Ben has pioneered his own visual language that celebrates his identity, his deep knowledge of country and contemporary social narratives.
Ben is a celebrated artist who has won many major awards - he has generously agreed to share his art (which is often hard to come by) with us on this wonderful blanket.
